About us

From our humble beginnings on the banks of the Mooloolah River using a borrowed canoe, Mooloolaba Outrigger Canoe Club today has Lisa Curry-Kenny as its Head Coach and has grown to over 200 members hailing from Brisbane to Noosa. And with teams competing around the world in all divisions, we are one of Australia’s largest and strongest.
We are immensely proud of the amount of junior members we have attracted who represent 35% of the total club membership and the success of our junior development has finally seen the transition of our Juniors into award-winning Open division paddlers.
Combining Australia’s reputation as one of the leading countries in the world within ocean sports and the huge growth currently being experienced by outrigger paddling, the future of the sport here in Mooloolaba is in safe hands. Add to that our impressive track record and the fact the National Titles are currently being held here for 3 years in a row (2009 – 2011), Mooloolaba Outrigger Canoe Club is the place to be!
If the great Australian pastime of enjoying the water in a safe, friendly and supportive environment sounds like you – experienced or not – contact us and join one of the world’s great clubs!
